About Us
I strive to maintain our dogs with the best
care and conditions even with the crippling effects the Recession has
had on our business. I am very selective to where our dogs may go. They
are like our children and we want the best for them.
I
want to thank Chris Anne Moore for letting us tour the Shalimar Kennel
for the opportunity to see how a fully functional Kennel is supposed to
operate. We used that experience to build our Kennel buildings. As a
result, the Oklahoma Department of Agriculture has rated our Kennel
Operations as one of the best in the state of Oklahoma.
When I brought CH Turrella Blue Panda Bear into our Kennel we never
thought that one imported dog would have such a large impact in the
breed in such a short period of time. Panda is recognized by the ACDCA
as "Sire of most new rally titlist in the U.S." His conformation get
isn't far behind as he has AKC Champions from Washington State, Texas,
Oklahoma, Missouri, Illinois, Tennessee and soon Europe. I want to thank
Lynda Rocksvold for trusting us to continue Panda's Legacy.
Thanks to Narelle Hammond-Robertson for the opportunity to extend
Kombinalong Kennel's positive influence to Australian Cattle Dogs here
in the United States through Aust & U.S. CH Kombinalong OO Super
(James). It was almost 30 years ago that Grace Vance-Harper** brought the
first Kombinalong Cattle Dog (Packer) to the U.S. and continued to
import the "Super" Dogs thereafter. Thanks Grace for sharing your
valuable knowledge about the breed and teaching me so much. Your
contribution to the breed is felt and seen throughout the U.S. and the
world. If you go back far enough in most leading cattle dog bloodlines
you will find the Gravans and Kombinalong influence. One of the most
notable was the bitch "Kombinalong Callme Super" who ended up with Sue
Christainson's Bluey's Kennels in Texico, Illinois in 2003.
Sue and I have strived to maintain the Kombinalong line in our dogs for
the future. In August of 2009 Sue and I imported Kombinalong Too Super
For You (Fiona) from Narelle. This Bitch is half sister to Kombinalong
OO Super (James) and lives with Sue at Texaco Ranch in Illinois. Fiona's
son finished fast and won the National Specialty in his class in 2012.
Many thanks to Mari Villanueva (RolltheDice Cattle Dogs) who let me have
Graven Silverpark's Lil Sista (Sheba). Mari has both the Turrella and
Kombinalong bloodlines. Sheba might be out of the last Gravan registered
litter. Sheba brought me Jimmy and Conner.
I also will be breeding dogs from Lisa Bowman (Timber Kennels) in
Georgia who also has dogs that are related to our Kombinalong and
Turrella dogs. Fast Eddy is an example of a Timber dog.
"Sir
James"
Kombinalong
OO Super passed away in May, he was 13 years old and a perfect
gentleman. He loved people, he loved bitches, he loved to show and
he loved his kennel with a view. We will miss him dearly but his legacy
lives on.
